The new product from Polk Audio, called Polk Audio db1240 car stereo subwoofer offers great performance at low cost. The db1240 subwoofer is made of a laser optimized motor structure along with high tech material and features a firm polypropylene cone and a reliable surround that is designed to handle high power.

Polk Audio is well known by its tests for environmental effects that are caused by moisture, sun or by extreme temperature changes.
For the long term reliability, the db1240 is designed with santoprene rubber surround, which is resistant to any extreme temperature. The Nomex fire retardant spider lets extended linear motion as it also provides mechanical and thermal stability.
The pole piece, coil coupler and the four layer triple venting Kapton voice coil together work to offer high power handling and the consistency of the db1240 subwoofer.
